We have had a wonderful day wandering around the old streets of Verona visiting some beautiful ancient buildings to view the quilts in The Tessile. This is a bi-annual exhibition organised by a group of 100 quilters in Verona, all giving their time voluntarily. We have been very impressed, especially with the hanging and spaces used for the quilts.
The Hungarian blue quilt display was stunning and a great favourite.
A few weeks ago, over 100 Stitchtopia guests joined us at Yarnfield Park in Staffordshire for our biggest craft event of 2019 – The Stitchtopia Festival! With 24 different workshops hosted by eight of our most popular experts, it was set to be a jam-packed weekend of creativity… and it certainly was!
Since 1911, International Women’s Day has been a chance for the World to celebrate the achievements of women throughout history and highlight work that still needs to be done to achieve gender equality worldwide. The day has a fantastic message and it’s really lovely to see so many companies and individuals empowering women!
